Pork Panko Breaded Tonkatsu Pork
Tonkatsu literally means pork cutlet and is traditionally breaded using panko. This is a low carb take on the crispy Japanese treat - using Pork Panko instead of panko breadcrumbs for crisp.

Ingredients and Amounts:
- 4 pork loin chops (~1" thick)
- Salt & pepper
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup Pork Panko
- Avocado oil
Directions
Step 1
Beat eggs in a shallow bowl. Pour Pork Panko into a separate bowl.
Step 2
Dip pork chops first in egg batter then coat with Pork Panko.
Step 3
Heat 1/2 inch of oil in a pan. Fry pork chops 6 - 8 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Place chops on rack to cool after frying.
Step 4
Optional: Serve with fresh vegetables (shredded cabbage is typical) and your favorite teriyaki or tonkatsu sauce.
Step 5
For minimal carb impact, soy sauce blended with stevia is an alternative to tonkatsu or teriyaki.
