Pork Panko Fried Calamari
- 1 lb. squid, whole and cleaned
- 2 cups Pork Panko
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 lemon
- Marinara sauce, for dipping

Slice the squid into even rings and squeeze the juice of 1/2 a lemon.
Combine milk and flour to make a batter, adjust until you reach the desired consistency (not too thin, not too thick).
Dredge the squid first in flour, then into the wet batter, and finally into the Pork Panko.
In a deep pot, heat oil between 350-365 F, and deep fry calamari for about 1-2 minutes. You can test the temperature by dropping one calamari ring. If the oil bubbles and forms around it and the calamari floats, the oil is ready.
Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
Serve with marinara sauce and enjoy!
