Creamy Mac N Cheese with Pork Dusted Parmesan Topping

This recipe is the ultimate comfort food-- cheesy, warm, perfect as a side dish at dinner or as a weeknight dinner. Pure, simple ingredients. Delicious crunchy parmesan top (we all know it's the best part). Creamy aged cheddar that's also low lactose. We love it and you will too!

    • 1 lb cooked macaroni pasta
    • 1/4 cup butter
    • 1/2 small onion, minced
    • 1 Tbsp thyme leaves, chopped (dried works as well)
    • 1/3 cup flour
    • 4 cups milk
    • 3-4 cups grated aged cheddar cheese
    • 1/2 cup Pork Dust
    • 1/4 cup grated parmesan
    • kosher salt and fresh cracked black pepper
    • 1 tsp mustard
    • 1/2 tsp Paprika

Instructions

Step 1

Melt the butter into a saucepan. When it's melted, add the onion and thyme and stir til fragrant.

Step 2

Add the flour to the butter and stir to create a paste/roux. Continue cooking this for 3 minutes.

Step 3

Slowly add the milk, constantly stirring. Bring the mixture to a boil and reduce to a simmer for 2 minutes before removing from the heat.

Step 4

Heat the broiler and place the macaroni and cheese under it until the top is crispy crunchy golden. Alternatively, heat in a 350F degree oven to make sure the entire dish is piping hot.

Step 5

Sprinkle the Pork Dust and parmesan over the mac n cheese, and be liberal. There's only goodness here.

Step 6
