Rice Krispy treats- the delicious marshmallowy treats of our youth. Sticky and crispy and just right, these guys have always been perfect for an after school snack. Think these carb-filled goodies won't fit into your lifestyle anymore? Think again! Pull those Pork Clouds out of the pantry and let's get to work! With half the carbs, 3 times the protein, and 40 fewer calories than regular rice krispy treats, these guys are sure to become a favorite indulgence.
You'll need the following items to make your own high protein Pork Crispy treats.
- 1 bag of marshmallows (10 oz.) *there are several keto recipes for homemade marshmallows if you want to reduce the carbs even further
- 6 cups coarsely crushed Cinnamon Ceylon Pork Clouds (this is about six 0.7 oz bags and 2 two oz. bags)
- 3 TBSP butter
- 9 x 13 pan
- non-stick spray
Crush the Pork Clouds coarsely. You want them to be small, but not as fine as the Pork Panko.
At the same time, melt 3 TBSP of butter over low heat.
Once melted, add marshmallows and stir. They will begin to make that beautiful white fluff we all know and love. Try not to lick the spoon.
Now mix in the crumbled Pork Clouds and stir.
Spray your container with cooking spray and press mixture into the bottom.
